ALLEY
19 BOWLING is a light hearted bowling simulation with mouse driven
bowling action and full motion video characters. The sound effects make
it seem real.
Bowl
five frames against human or
computer opponents before the demo game ends. Start at the Pro Shop and
click on Bowl to begin. Use the mouse to throw the ball, and control
its speed by pushing the mouse forward slower or faster. Use the ball
guide to aim.
Only
one ball and player type will work
in the demo. Enter up to 4 player names, select player and ball
appearance, and pick Human (H) or Computer (C) players. In the demo,
all players appear as the demo bowling guy with the blue ball but keep
their individual names. There are options to show or hide the ball
guide and scoreboard.
The
full version of Alley 19 Bowling has
four unique personas that can be chosen for people or computer
opponents. It has left handed settings, multiple colored balls, a
statistics screen, a full CD music soundtrack and even a rock and bowl
setting for late night bowlers!
Take
a friend or two on an outing to a
50's bowling alley and have fun bowling! Ages 6 up
Eisenhower
was in the Oval Office. Hot
Rods and Drive Ins were the sign of the times and bowling was America's
favorite pastime.
Alley
19 Bowling takes you back to those
times for the ultimate 10-pin challenge.
Alley
19 has successfully replicated the
bowling experience with its unique mouse-controlled throwing action.
Best of all, Alley 19 combines all the fun and competition of real
bowling with an original 50's soundtrack.
Not
only is Alley 19 the most
entertaining bowling program on any platform, but it uses a unique
mouse- driven rolling action creating a wonderful ease of use and
realistic scoring.
Ed
Brayman, lead developer, has made a
simple and natural way to recreate bowling for the computer using
nothing but mouse control. From start to finish the entire game can be
easily played without using a single keystroke. Because the mouse
placement is never perfectly consistent from one frame to the next,
scores mimic real-life averages very closely. This provides almost
limitless challenge because a 300 game (as in real life) is almost
unattainable.
Combine
this with a very light hearted
theme and special effects and Alley 19 becomes the entertainment sports
hit of the year. Alley 19 uses a authentic 50's theme and soundtrack
(the soundtrack is playable on your stereo) recreating everything from
a '57 Chevy outside the lanes down to the hairstyles and clothing on
the bowlers themselves. Jabbing comments from the gallery and special
animations for milestone scores give the finishing touch and promise to
keep you laughing while you spend an afternoon knocking down pins.
